Client Brief
The client is Yale School of Art, founded in 1869, and located in New Heaven, Connecticut. They offer Master of Fine Art degrees in Graphic Design, painting/printmaking, photography, and sculpture. The program is a two-year course. They provide an educational context to talented and highly motivated artists and designers where they can examine their own talents and get the max of it while being involved in critical dialogues. The School not only focuses on the improvement of visual skills but also on the stimulation of creativity and imagination. The School of Art also offers an undergraduate art major for the students who are enrolled in Yale College.
Their main mission is to provide students with the intellectual principles and practical experience for diverse visual arts media within the context of liberal arts education. The Yale School of Art is experienced in training fine artists, being the first institution of higher learning to integrate studio-based education into its program. The client wants the page to be redesign, the main purpose of the webpage is to be a digital experiment in digital publishing where graduate students, faculty staff, and alumni can collaborate, adding new content and modifying pages.ed tours, cruises, river cruises, resort, and active vacations through Europe.

The project is to redesign and build the following pages for the Yale School of Art:

-About page.
-Apply to the school page.
-Publication page.
-Mission Statement page.
The design should work in desktop and mobile. The point of contact is Jeff Janelle. The duration of the project will be 6 weeks. The text and media content as images, videos, files have been provided by Yale School of Art. All the 7 points described in the below section should be solved.The success of the project will be measure on the increase of the website traffic and in the reduction of calls and emails received asking for information that it is already in the website.
Target Audience
The target market is mostly graduated students in the fields of visual arts, who are motivated and passionate. They are 50% female, 32 % male, and 18% non-binary, non-conforming, or transgender. Most of them are millennials and Gen Z, within an age range between 21-44 years old. 75% are unmarried and 25% are married. Their household income is greater than 150,000. They like adventures, challenges, and art, and they are very interested in their career growth. They value authenticity, collaboration, feedback, and critiques.The target audience is mostly senior citizens and people almost entering this category. With an age range of 55—75 years old. 63% being female and 37% male. A higher than average household income of $120k - $140k.
They are experienced in visual arts such as graphic design, photography, painting/ printmaking, and sculpture. Their favorite brands are Apple, Adobe, Wacom, Winsor & Newton, Canon, Nikon, and Sony. They are mostly tech-savvy.
